Polyblend is one of the leading compounders in Germany, particularly in the segments polyolefin compounding and toll compounding. Polyblend’s objective is to further strengthen its international position.

Protective measures at Polyblend
In line with our responsibility for our employees Polyblend pursues a zero accident strategy. State-of-the-art production equipment and continuous improvement as well as the promotion of environmental awareness within the workforce help us align growing production volumes with practiced protection of employment and environment. The working environment is designed in conformity with health and safety standards.
OCS
Polyblend takes public concern about pollution of the environment, especially the world's oceans, very seriously.
That is why we have voluntarily committed ourselves to the goals of the ‘Operation Clean Sweep Europe’ (OCS) initiative. This means that we are endeavouring to prevent any granulate entering the environment immediately.
To this end, we have initially sensitised all our employees to the existing problem. This is repeated regularly in the form of training courses. Furthermore, we have identified and continue to identify areas from which granulate can enter the environment and have defined measures to prevent this. These measures are implemented step by step and their effectiveness is monitored. We regularly check what further measures need to be taken. All of this brings us step by step closer to our goal of preventing any granulate from entering the environment.
Beyond our own company premises, we draw the attention of customers and suppliers to the OCS initiative and try to persuade them to commit to these goals as well.
We are well on the way to fulfilling all the requirements of the OCS initiative and to being certified accordingly this year.
Through all these measures, we are making an effective contribution to maintaining a healthy environment.
